Dress pic

Just an old pic of me in my Sunday Best Dress. I know I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here for a post, but it's a Wednesday and I've got nothin'...after Memorial Day and our picnic, things haven't been too exciting. It's been crazy hot lately and we don't have any air conditioning in the new house, so yesterday dad went and bought me a fan at Target. I've also found a reasonably cool spot under the dining room table.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

What do you think of this new poster?

Stolen Kisses

Happy Friday everyone! Here's a pic of Finn stealing a quick kiss. What a naughty boy! And right in front of our parents! Well have a good holiday weekend and after memorial day I'll come up with something new and dazzling for you to read and see. Enjoy your cookouts! I have a feeling I'm going to be spoiled with hamburgers...yay!

Aunt Anita

Here is another shot from the backyard dinner. I just met Anita that night and she's great. My parents decided that since she's got lots of moms in her family she can teach me about girl stuff and since there's a lot of Dads in my family, they can teach Finn about boy stuff as we grow up. As you can see by the long tongue that I had just finished running around the yard like bananas chasing Finn. Good thing the water bowl wasn't too far away. Summer rocks!

My Cousin Finny

Well, actually he's not really my cousin...I just thought that would be a good title for this post. Finn is a Boston Terrier boy that Anita adopted from the Humane Society a few weeks ago and we finally got to have a play date in my backyard last week over dinner. Isn't he adorable? And he's got oodles of energy. He's tough to keep up with! I'll post more pics of our adventures this week.

Not Quite The Last Supper

Well, at least I hope it's not the last supper literally, because I want Finn to come back and play more in the future...But in honor of The Da Vinci code movie opening today, I thought I'd post this pic of our outdoor backyard dinner picnic that reminds me of Leonardo's Last Supper painting...from left to right is Anita, Finn, me, and Dad. The only person who is missing is Dad Eric who took the picture. The parents had soup and wine and appetizers and the kids got rawhide bones. Life is good. Summer is here.

New Backyard Shots!

I'm going to start posting new pictures that Dad Eric took last night. Anita came over for dinner and a play date with my new friend Finn! He's Boston Terrier and you all know how I love the Boston boys...anyway, we'll start out with a schmaltzy, oh-so-cute-portrait of me and Dad Mike. See you tomorrow for more!

Men's Disco Fashion Frida

Dad is working on setting up an art exhibit this month that has to do with paper dolls. Well obviously things have gone to his head because look at this insanity! I've always wondered what it would be like to be a disco dog straight out of the 70s. Well, enjoy the gobs of bright polyester.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

And in honor of the holiday, a message from our President GW: "Happy 5th of May, but for crissakes, just don't sing the national anthem in Spanish!! That is all." Hey, can we compromise and can we sing it in Spanglish? Because sometimes that's what is sounds like coming out of some people when they TRY to sing it in English at baseball games and whatnot anyway. But what do I know? I'm just a dog.

Famous Author's Dog

Say hello to Cow, one of Augusten Burrough's dogs. And if you can't see the caption it says, "Cow, wondering if the camera contains meat." Just had to share. Now, go get one of Augusten's books and read it if you haven't done so already. There's even a new one called "Possible Side Effects" out just this week.

I've been tagged!!

I've never done this before, but mags tagged me a while back and I didn't even see it. I think what I'm supposed to do is fill out this little alphabetical questionnaire type form. Well let's get to it!

Accent: Northwestern PA pug

Booze: Bowl water (on the rocks if it’s a hot day!)

Chore I Hate: Cleaning up the fuzzles all over the floor from the chew toys I have ripped up.

Dog or Cat: Both. And squirrels. I love squirrels. Oh, and birds. And bunnies. Basically anything that moves and has fur.

Essential Electronics: iPod for Dad when he walks me. Does a car count as an electronic? I like rides.

Favorite Cologne: Tommy when Dad Mike wears it and Bath & Body Works Cotton Blossom or CK Be when Dad Eric wears it.

Gold or Silver: Bronze! Celebrate your inner mediocrity!

Hometown: Chatauqua, PA

Insomnia: Not really, I take lots of naps. Sleeping is my forte.

Job Title: World-renown princess

Kids: I wish! I’ve had some corrective surgery that unfortunately can’t be undone.

Living Arrangements: Apartment.

Most Admirable Traits: Adorableness. Rambunctiousness. Wet kisses. Soft fur.

Number of Sexual Partners: Hey, I’m a lady!

Overnight Hospital Stays: None, but I had a scary overnight vet boarding stay once.

Phobias: Mysterious knocks on the door. Mailmen.

Quote: “Those who are willing to trade security for freedom deserve neither.” –Hugo Chavez (Wait, maybe he didn’t say that…but he should have. Viva la revolucion!) or “Living in a material world and I am a Material Girl.” –Madonna, or “Frida, I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you, and take daily runs in the park shirtless and sweaty.” –Jake Gyllenhaal. (okay, that might have been made up too. But a girl can dream…)

Religion: Zen Buddhist (trying anyway)

Siblings: Probably.

Time I Wake Up: When does Dad get up, one second after that….maybe even before.

Unusual Talent or Skill: Running at top speed and bouncing off of furniture like a yugolavian gymnast’s floor routine in pursuit of a squeaky toy or just running at top speed for the hell of it.

Vegetable I Love: Carrots, brussel sprouts.

Worst Habit: Silent dog farts.

X-Rays: Nope, but plenty of vet appointments for vaccinations and heartworm medication.

Yummy Foods I Make: Eukanuba pellets with a rich country gravvy sauce and a side of beef super supper, finished with a light, crunchy bacon and cheese flavored biscuit.

Zodiac Sign: Capricorn, Year of the Dog maybe?

Spring has sprung

The weather is getting to be real gravvy...it was in the 70s yesterday! Dad took me out in the yard for a while. I even got a peanut butter cookie to munch on. Life is good.

This is a new friend named Chi-Chi Chi that I found online. I wonder if we were separated at birth? Our ears are identical! If I get around to it I will post some more pics later. But this one I thought was so cute of Chi Chi stopping to smell the flowers. On a related note, I may have a new play friend. My Dad's friend Anita is going to be a new mom again. She's bringing home a Boston boy named Finn. I can't wait to meet him. I'll get Dad to take some pics and post them as soon as I can!
