Sleepy

This may be the last post for a bit, maybe until the new year. I don't know how much I'll be on the computer over the holidays. (It does take a while to type with paws, you know.) Anyway, there'll probably be so much exciting things to do while the boys have off from work, but afterwards, I'll be sure to post the fantastic gifts that I've gotten!! But not that Christmas is about getting things...I know it's really about pretending that Jesus was born on this day instead of the holiday being co-opted from the pagan winter solstice and then getting angry when people don't say "merry christmas" instead of "happy holidays." But I'm just a dog, what do I know?! I'm all about peace and love and spreading joy EVERY day! Which is why I need to sleep a lot during the day so I have energy to romp at night when people are around. So, if you think you are going to be drained of energy because of the holiday bustle, take my advice, and get in a good snooze. A little nap goes a long way.

Memoirs of a Frida

Seasons greetings! I am posting my Xmas card from this year. I figured that if the Memoirs of a Geisha movie doesn't have to have a Japanese cast or other cultural accuracies, why couldn't the leading lady be played by me? I think I fit the role fabulously, don't you?

A kiss from Dad

This was us snuggling on the couch last night watching a movie. Dad's been crazy busy with work lately, so I can't wait to spend more time with him over the holidays. Only a few more days left!

Crashing the White House Xmas Party

Well, if you want something scarier than the Bride of Fridastein picture, look no further than here. I snuck into the White House Press Christmas party and the ol' prez had no idea I wasn't Millie or Hoochie or whatever the names of his dogs are...Laura almost caught on, but she was busy catching up with her librarian friends. I couldn't make it out, but I think they were planning a book burning or banning in honor of the renewal of the Patriot Act. But what do I know, I'm just a dog! Anyway, when it came time to get the customary picture with the first couple by the tree, I couldn't resist putting a button on from the last election. I blame it on the egg nog.

Bride of Fridastein!

Hey...I forgot to post this around Halloween, but I figured people would want to see my take on a cult classic. Scary, huh? Isn't the hair fabulous?

More Yard Play

Today I'm going to continue a second day of posting about my great back yard. Dad and I had a great time playing football. It's one of my few plush toys that I haven't been able to rip the stuffing and squeaker out of...yet. When I fetch and bring it back I like to grip onto it with my teeth and not let go. Sometimes I growl when Dad pulls back on it. It's a pretty fun game. And it's even better to run and fetch it in my new yard than doing it in the house. There's more space to run and I don't have to dodge furniture!

My Yard!

I finally got a chance to post a pic of my stupendous, humungous, spacious back yard! It's all fenced in so my parents don't have to worry about me running into the street or anything like that. Right now it's covered with about a foot of snow, so it looks a little different at the moment. Picture it like this, but with white all over. This was taken in the fall when my dad was playing fetch football with me. I'm the one on the right, he's on the left in the picture. I'll show you more later. It's time for my nap.

Last Christmas...

Continuing the theme of Xmas...Here's the pic of me in my reindeer suit that was on my other dad's christmas cards, for those who haven't seen it. Don't I bear an uncanny resemblance to that dog in the Grinch? I can't wait for this year! Only 23 more days to go! I'm sure the boys have all sorts of surprises in store for me.
